SUMMER SOCIALS
(Regular Meetings Resume September 11, 7 p.m. at the Buffalo Community Center)
Once a month during June, July and August, the BUUF holds Summer Socials.  We meet at noon at the hosts’ home, bring a dish to share, and spend some quality time together.  Here are the dates and food assignments.  Directions to our hosts’ homes are at the end of the newsletter.

Sunday, June 23	Hosts:  Betty and Jack Waldhauer.  If your last name begins with A through F, bring a salad; G through L, a; dessert; M through Z, a vegetable dish.
Sunday, July 14	Hosts:  Carolyn Grieve and Maria Maki.  Watch for news about our Summer Socials in June, July and August.  If your last name begins with A through F, bring a dessert; G through L, a vegetable dish; M through Z, a salad.
Sunday, Aug. 25	Hosts:  Louise and Luke Markve.  If your last name begins with A through F, bring a vegetable dish; G through L, a salad; M through Z a dessert.

BUUFalo GALS
The women of the BUUF have had several get-togethers over lunch.  All BUUF women are welcome!  Each is responsible for her own lunch.  There’s no formal agenda – just a time to get to know each other.  Watch for news about our next meeting, and please come!

DIRECTIONS TO OUR SUMMER SOCIALS
Sunday, June 23, BETTY AND JACK WALDHAUER’S HOME, 6533 Platt Ave. NW, Annandale, MN 55302
Please phone Betty or Jack at 320-274-8889 to let them know you’re coming.  If your last name begins with A through F, bring a salad; G through L, a; dessert; M through Z, a vegetable dish.
Your destination is on Lake Sylvia Peninsula between Lake Sylvia and Twin Lake.  Take Minn. Hwy. 55 WEST from Buffalo to Annandale.  About 3 miles west of Annandale, turn SOUTH (left) on Wright Co. Rd. 3.  Follow County Rd. 3 for about 3 miles, then turn WEST (right) on Wright Co. Rd. 129.  In about one mile, County Rd. 129 makes a 90-degree turn.  DON’T TURN!!!  Continue straight ahead on the blacktop.  You will see a sign, “Lake Sylvia Peninsula,” at Pilger Avenue.  Turn right and follow Pilger Avenue about one mile to 65th St. NW and turn WEST (left) onto the gravel road.  Continue straight ahead for 0.3 miles to the top of the hill.  The blacktop is the start of the Waldhauers’ driveway.  You will see a sign, “Twin Points” – their home is at the bottom of the hill.

Take Highway 25 north from Buffalo to County Road 138 (at the traffic light).  Turn left by the Public Works building.  IMMEDIATELY turn right onto Braddock Avenue.  Go about ¾ mile and take the dead end road that is straight ahead and swings off to the right.  This is 44th St. NE.  The Markves’ home is the eighth house on the lake side.
